In the heart of the Amazon rainforest, the small Shipibo village of Pahoyan—home to Maestro Roberth and his family—is facing an environmental and humanitarian crisis.
Recent devastating floods have submerged the village, leaving homes damaged, crops ruined, and entire families displaced. The water still has not fully receded, and what remains is a slow and labor-intensive recovery process that will require time, resources, and community support.
🌀 What Happened?
Over the past weeks, unprecedented rainfall across the Amazon has caused the Ucayali River to overflow, impacting numerous indigenous communities—including Pahoyan. Reports from the area describe waist-deep water levels throughout the village, with contaminated drinking water, destroyed food stores, and structural damage to homes and traditional malocas (communal houses).

🌿 Who Is Affected?
Among those directly impacted is Maestro Roberth, a Shipibo plant medicine healer known and loved by many who have sat in ceremony under his guidance. His home is flooded, his garden washed away, and like many in his village, he faces weeks—if not months—of cleanup and rebuilding.
Roberth is not just a local resident. He is a bridge between worlds—a teacher, healer, and guardian of ancestral wisdom. Through his work with plants, he has held space for profound healing for people from across the globe.
Now, he and his village need us.

🔁 A Moment for Sacred Reciprocity
For many of us, the medicines of the Amazon have offered healing we couldn’t find anywhere else. They’ve taught us how to return to ourselves, to the Earth, and to spirit. That wisdom has always come from communities like Roberth’s.
Now, as the forest floods and its people suffer, it’s time to give back. Not out of guilt or charity—but out of love, respect, and reciprocity.
Let’s come together, across continents and cultures, to support this village that has given so much to the world.
🙏🏽 Thank you for your heart, your generosity, and your solidarity.
